Year 3

Class Teacher – Mr Lamb

Hello, I’m Mr Lamb and I am delighted to begin my teaching journey here at Thornhill. I am so excited to see how my Year 3 class will learn, grow and develop over the course of the year.

I have a very energetic dog (a German Shorthaired Pointer) who needs lots of exercise. I spend most of my free time walking her through muddy fields and paddle boarding with her on lakes and rivers. I also have 2 cats who love to sit on the end of the couch when I’m watching football or the NFL.

To contact Mr Lamb please email: mlamb.teacher@thornhill.durham.sch.uk

Welcome to our Year 3 webpage
We hope that you find the information here useful! If you require any more information, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

The following notes outline some important routines that should help us all to have an organised year. Homework overview:

  • Children read daily at home for at least 25 minutes. Please record the children’s reading in their planners.
  • Children will learn their spellings  and maths facts each week. They will be sent home in the week ready for the test on the following Monday.

PE
Currently children have daily structured PE sessions. At present they do not require a school PE kit, but must wear suitable shoes everyday.
