Class Teacher – Miss Kernick
Hello, my name is Miss Kernick and I love the challenging but highly rewarding nature of teaching.
In my spare time, I enjoy tap dancing, and will soon become a fully qualified dance teacher. I love to play and watch all kinds of sports, like badminton, tennis and football. When I am at home, I like to bake and take my dog Jasper out for long walks in the countryside.

The following notes just outline some of the important routines that should help us all to have a smooth running year;
Please listen to your child read for 15 minutes every night and record in their planner. Reading is a skill that needs to be developed with regular practice, little and often, so your support with this is invaluable. Also please ensure that children bring their planners to school every day.
Homework consists of daily reading, as well as the Guided Reading book, spellings and maths facts.
Spellings / Maths Facts
Children are given spellings and maths facts on Tuesday to be learnt ready for a test on Monday. The spellings an maths facts will be sent home in the planner.
Children will need an indoor PE kit (red shorts, white t-shirt and plimsolls) and an outdoor kit (tracksuit bottoms and top and outdoor trainers) labelled with their name. Kits can be left at school over the half term.
