We have many experienced and caring governors who form a key part of the leadership and management of our school. Our Chair is Mrs. Fiona Brown, a co-opted governor, and our Vice Chair is Mr David Thompson, a parent governor.
Our Governing Body has several committees, which are detailed below:
Governing Body Committees
Annually Governing Bodies are required to produce an Annual Governance Statement.
Statutory Guidance for Governing Bodies
Thornhill Primary School adhere to the statutory guidance from the Department of Education. This means that governing bodies must have regard to it when carrying out duties relating to the constitution of governing bodies in maintained schools.
